Hey! We went sale agreed today on a late Victorian home in Fairview and are looking for recommendations for a surveyor/engineer in Dublin with experience in period red-brick houses.
The house still has most of its original features (plasterwork, fireplaces, windows, stove etc.) and has never had central heating installed. It definitely needs refurbishment work to make it fully livable, including kitchen/heating upgrades, so we’re looking for someone who really understands the typical issues with these older Victorian houses rather than a very generic survey.
Would really appreciate any recommendations or experiences people have had especially with engineers familiar with older homes.
