Hi, just after a reality check.
We’ve just moved into a rental in Auckland and have noticed a few issues:
Bathroom gets extremely steamy; extractor fan is clogged with dust and doesn’t seem to work properly
Bedroom curtains had a white powdery buildup that left black streaks when wiped (possible mould?)
Heat pump filters were heavily clogged with dust, with dark spots that may be mould
Since moving in, I’ve had an asthma flare-up within a few days.
We’ve emailed the property manager twice so far.
Are we overreacting, or is this not acceptable for a rental? What would you do next?
