Another false narrative is promoted by the TVK, and the news channels are just running along with it
Since the 2003 Court rule, it is mandatory to not have liquor shops or bars near educational institutions and temples. This is not something new the current TVK government has started now. The DMK government also closed liquor shops violating this rule in 2021 when they came back to power, and closed around 500 shops in 2023 as well. But the current false narrative is being set that this is a great new initiative started by the current TVK government and CM Vijay.
