Hey guys, I'm starting my Series 66 studying soon and trying to decide between Kaplan and STC.

I used Kaplan for both the SIE and Series 7 and passed both first try, so I’m already familiar with their style and QBank. I liked how hard the questions were for the 7 because I felt overprepared going into the exam.

That said, I’ve heard some people say STC is better for the 66 specifically and more similar to the actual exam wording. I plan to supplement with Kens videos as well.

For those who’ve taken the 66 recently:

• Which vendor prepared you better?
• Did you feel Kaplan overcomplicated things?
• Is STC enough by itself?
• Anyone use both together?

Scored a 70% on Ken’s Brutal Exam on YouTube and found it challenging. Testing tomorrow morning.

Averaging mid 70s to low 80s on Kaplans exams & scored an 85 on Kaplans Mastery Exam, yet I still feel like I don’t know everything like I should. Am I in a good spot here? What to review/learn last minute?

I haven’t been great on margin, convertibles, balance sheet questions.

I plan to go through Ken’s Brutal Exam the day before my exam as well as the Quick & Dirty YT video review.

Looking for some honest feedback on my Series 7 readiness.

My Kaplan sim exam scores in order:
Q1: 76.92
Q2: 82.31
Q3: 77.69
Q4: 78.46
Q5: 80

I’ve got one more sim exam and the mastery exam left before my test in a week. I’ve also been supplementing with S7 Guruu and Ken’s YouTube videos.

Couple questions:

Am I in a solid spot to pass based on these scores?

Any areas I should really narrow my focus on in this final week?

What would you be doing if you were in my position right now?

Planning to keep reviewing weak areas and staying consistent, but just want to make sure I’m using this last week as efficiently as possible.
