you taste like strawberries that haven’t moulded yet, your second favourite sunset, the day before you stopped doing what you loved, maybe a push but never a shove,
a passionate kiss before the slap, some joke that fell a little flat,
that argument that’s gone on way too long, even though you know you’re wrong,
flowers that you bought too late, a coupon that’s gone out of date,
our future house we would’ve had, a day that almost wasn’t sad,
only seeing you inside my head, although at least i can taste you here instead
