Stalked 22 years later
In college, in 2003-2004, my bf had a roommate. This guy was a bit strange but whatever. I had an incident during my sophomore year that led to me being put on a psych hold. I dealt with a lot of mental health trauma in my late teens/early 20s and now I am in my 40s and worked through it. I now live a good, private life overseas, outside of the USA. I am pretty private and do not have a lot of social media presence. I also do not have my exact place of employment listed anywhere. Today, I received a letter to my place of work. It was addressed to me, using my work address. It was from my old bf's roommate. It was threatening in nature and telling me to c0mmit s*icide, like I'd attempted when I was 19. I cannot believe this happened. The letter was postmarked from a city in the USA to my current workplace overseas. He wrote it in sharpie and wrote his name (only first)... I cannot for the life of me remember this guy's last name. I also am flabbergasted. Why would someone do this? This was 22 years ago. We are grown now. I am scared, confused and very upset. Please give me advice. I would not even know what to tell the cops in his jurisdiction. Thank goodness I am far far away from this place, but it was sent to my obscure work place....
