[UK] Incessantly Wailing Colleague
Using a throwaway account in case of any come back on this.
I have a colleague - let's call her Fleur.
We are lucky enough to have music piped into our office, but this has become a bit of a waking nightmare for some of us.
Pretty sure that Fleur is an undiagnosed autistic which is relevant. During songs, ads, jingles and pretty much any opportunity, she will wail it - really loudly. (Potentially) Intentionally off-key and really annoying.
Fleur is a manager, but not my manager. I told my own manager that I find it distracting and rage inducing and was told that the director (who lives in Italy and doesn't have to listen to it) prefers to have a noisy office and so would do nothing about it.
I'm coming to Reddit to ask if there's anything I can do. The next escalation point for Fleur is one of her friends and she also has friends in HR so I want to be sure before I take any formal steps.
In truly English fashion, I've made a tonne of passive/aggressive comments to Fleur directly but it's becoming a real problem.
Where do I stand?
