Need help in continuing the history of my world building project

Hi everyone, I am currently writing a historical chronicle/treatise/sacred history for my personal world building project and I would greatly appreciate your comments on how I can continue the march of history, so to speak. Personally I just want to ground my world into realist narrative. Some parts of the history might be too long, apologies, I just really got into writing that part and apparently that burned me out.

For a very short and quick synopsis of my world

The central narrative is written from a very biased and oftentimes propagandistic view of the Iltarian prelates, which are priests/scholars/etc. of the world the Imperial State of Iltaria, a centralized, religious; bordering theocratic, state formed by exiles from the distant but neighboring continent of Lifarya. It talks about the themes of the cyclic, and reflective nature of history, legacy, institutions, etc.

Just something I wrote because I was bored and I wanted to try to create a chronicle about an old world building project I did some years ago

“Iltaria in the eponomous continent of Iltar, lieth in the west of the known world. East to Iltar, is the old lands of Lifarya, ancient homeland. In the south lies the ever-wide and deep Altheric Sea, and across this great body of water lies the largest continent of the known world, Salaria, home to strange lands, and even stranger people.”

In the pursuit of chronicling the long and storied history of the Imperial State of Iltaria

Foundations (10,000 Years before the Founding of Xalaxion in the Age of Lost Memories-100YT First Age)

The great Imperial State of Iltaria traces its origin from the founder settlers who fled west into the then unknown lands of Iltar. These ancient people according to tales of old, and fragments of records of memories past, were wrongfully accused of heresy and other violence were cast out from the continent of Lifarya by their kin, believers of the Murchanty, or the Four-God belief.

To trace back this point of origin is a tremendous work of scholarly pursuit. Many a great Prelate of Records of the Sanctum of Ilintix have tried and failed to come to a resolute and definitive date of the expulsion and migration. Some scholars date it as far back as ten-thousand years in the past, in the Age of Lost Memories, when the world of men was young and men did not yet know the knowledge of writing. Some have suggested it was in the early years of reckoning during the Age of Mythos, when men started to write and scribe when the early Iltarians arrived in this continent. And finally, the most widely conceded belief by scholars, evidenced even by parallel historiography in some fragmentary, and equally ancient Lifaryan chronicles, postulates that it has not been more than two-thousand years before the end of the Age of Mythos since our progenitors landed on these shores towards the beginning years of the First Age, a century or more, or even less as not many scholars agree. However, what many are most certain is that the migration, and journey happened before Alexandros the Unifier conquered, and unified all of Lifarya and the Thrice-Damned-Throne, as the Lifaryans have called the throne of Alexandros, was created.

Whatever the truth may be, the early Iltarians arrived in this continent and landed in the great bay of Ioralith and founded the great city of Xalaxion, in honor of Lord Xalaxer of the High Sky. To which the Prelates of Time-Keeping did base the beginning, and start of the reckoning of years of the First Age. Xalaxion, in many later years, would serve as the Imperial capital. And as the years did go by, in the earliest centuries of the First Age ancient explorers scoured, searched and traveled far across this uncharted and unexplored continent to find lands suitable for the building of dwellings, farms, towns, which soon birthed cities, and cities that would later form the regions of Iltaria.

A most controversial topic for the Scholars of the modern age, as is their want, is what they claim to be the baffling and seemingly scarce or even outright lack of mention of any indigenous or local tribes inhabiting Iltar of the records of exploration from that time. Some suggest that due to the vast distance of the Sea of Lament, Altheric Sea and the further west turbulent Sea of Mentaxis, the early people of Lifarya and indeed even that of Salaria did feared to venture into the unknown west, and north and that simply Iltar remained uninhabited until the arrival of our ancestors. Some, however, controversially, wrongfully, and erroneously posit that the early Iltarians did completely wipe out any existing people who once inhabited these lands. But this is an outlandish and preposterous idea. The Iltarians of the past are as we are today, a peaceful and amicable people. Those who whisper these lies and untruths in the dark corners of the streets in the Porxasis, and within the decrepit parts of the cities, and away from the watchful eyes and alert ears of the prelates from the Crystalline Temples of the Ten Lords are no more than rumourmongers who wish to tarnish the repute of our ancestors.

Imperat Dalaxion I and the Founding of the Imperial State (300YT-500YT First Age)

The subsequent hundred years following the foundation of Xalaxion saw the expansion and settling of the continent. From the northern colden Porxa, or region, of Dolaria, famed for their furs and coals. Alxarexis, Delaxes, and Gorgaxes in the west famed for their fields, golds, minerals and the Glaxial Crystals in the foothills in the eastern side of the mountain ranges of the Glaxion Mountains. The southern regions of Haraxi and Fexaria famed for their wines made from girapso, timbers, and bounties of the sea. And the central Porxa of Litarexis, and with its equally abundant fields, watered by the river Mentex. Finally is the eastern Porxa of Xelerxis with its woods, craftsmen, and where the capital Xalaxion is located. Early Iltarians founded numerous settlements, farms, temples to the Ten Lords, and other works of civilization. The city of Andalax in Doloria, the cities of Alxer capital of Alxerexis, Dexos, and Morxus in Delaxes and Gorgaxes. Ferrantix in Fexaria, and Calixar in Haraxi. Milxuntus, Valertix, and Ortanxus in Litarexis. The Great Crystalline Palace was not yet built for upon those days the Iltarians were not united and were not truly divided for they were one with the worship of the Ten Lords.

During those times there was no Imperat and the Archons of the cities and the Porxators of the Porxasis, or elected rulers of the regions reigned supreme. There were no Kings of that time for the Iltarians had no love nor fondness of Kings as legends of the tyranny of the east spoke of Kings. Until one day, the Ten Lords did gloriously and miraculously appeared in the dreams of Dalaxion Porxator,  the ruler of Xelerxis the East, telling him of  a great destruction awaiting them beyond the mountains of the Glaxion, and that he was tasked by the Ten Lords themselves to prepare the Iltarians to face this incoming doom. Many great scholars are divided on the nature of the ascension of Dalaxion, however the only important fact remains. The Archons of the cities, as having been summoned in Xalaxion, was so moved by the eloquence of Dalaxion was proclaimed the leader of the Iltarian people.

And so in the First Age the Year of the Ten Lords 300, three hundred years after the founding of Xalaxion, as the chroniclers and the Prelates of Time-Keeping records, Dalaxion, of the Highest High was crowned in the same city as the first Imperat of Iltaria, Imperat meaning “Exalted by the People” in our tongue of olds. As he was elected by the Council of the Archons and was anointed each by the Arc-Prelates of the Ten Lords, and so began the history of the Imperial State.

War in the West (500YT First Age)

In the Fifth Century of the First Age, two whole centuries since the coronation of Imperat Dalaxion First of the Calling, May the Ten Lords Smile Upon Him, who has long since passed from the mortal worlds of creation by that time, the western reaches of the continent of Iltar bordered by the gargantuan Glaxion Mountains still remained a mystery to our forebears. Many legends abound of frightful creatures, and terrible beasts inhabiting the lands west of the Glaxion. And so the Imperat Dalaxion First of the Calling, May the Ten Lords Smile Upon Him, readied the people, strengthened the Imperial State for he built roads and mines in ever greater numbers, he trained soldiers in ever greater discipline and ever greater in numbers and he chose among them their leader, the Corxatis, or “Commandant of Faith”, for he shall lead the Holy Legions. And it was so that the first Imperat dreamt of destruction coming from the west and died and departed for the Land of the Glorious, that the skies in the west darkened in terrible color, and storms raged along the western coasts. And so his descendants, the Imperat Oraxyn First of the Calling, Imperat Dalaxion Second of the Calling, Imperat Oraxyn Second of the Calling, Imperat Oraxyn Third of the Calling, and finally into the reign of Imperat Dalaxion Third of the Calling, readied the Holy Legions of the Ten Lords to scour beyond the Glaxion Mountains and chart the lands for the time of war draws nigh. The Porxator of Haraxi, Iltenyx of the Blessed Shores, suggested to the Imperat Dalaxion Third of the Calling, that an expedition by the sea be also tried but the Imperat did not conform to his advice for the line of Dalaxion was blessed with dreams by the Ten Lords, and in his dreams he did saw a jagged landscape in the southern shores of the western lands and terrible storms that would annihilate any fleet that would be sent into them. And so the Arc-Prelate of Ilintix asked the Imperat of the veracity of his dreams, and if the Ten Lords themselves have shown him this dream, to which the Imperat concurred and so convened for the first time a Great Council, composed of the Porxators, Archons of the major cities, Prelates, and the Arc-Prelates, to determine what the most faithful of the Ten Lords must do in order to help combat the realization of the threats from the west. And in that Great Council did decree that the Ten Lords will that the west be brought to the faith of the Ten Lords. So then the Legions marched and so did the Ten Lords blessed them.

Return of the Holy Legion and End of the Holy War in the West (500YT-520YT First Age)

Twenty long years passed and the Holy Legions returned from their wars in the west. Of the 10,000 men sent to the cursed land of the west only 1,000 returned. Tales of horror filled the newly built Crystalline Palace. Imperat Imentyx the First of Calling son of Imperat Dalaxion Third of Calling then asked the Commandant of the Faith of the Holy Legion what transpired in the west, to which he simply replied “Death and victory, Most Glorious”. Whispers of cruelty and uncertainty abound during this time of history of our great Imperial State for no record speaketh of who the enemy from the west were. However records show that these doubts are unfounded, and egregious, for Melcantoryx, Prelate of Records, in The Year of the Ten Lords 539 First Age note from that time that “…the west were not populated by men, only demons, for they wrought upon themselves destruction for their refusal to follow the faith of the Ten Lords’. Nor take heed of tales of the “Doragex”, creatures of beastly nature that breathed fire and profaned the breath of Xalaxer. Tall tales that serve to fright naughty children. No, the scribes, prelates, and records show that the War of the West was a Holy War that cleansed the west of demons that threatened all of Iltaria.

Reclamation of the West, and the Galaroxian Epoch”(521YT-800YT First Age)

After the War of the West came the peace of Galarox or the Galaroxian ‘Epoch’ stretching from the Year of the Ten Lords 521 to 800YT in the beginning of the reign of Imperat Mirentyx First of Calling, called “the Outward”. It is in this moment of time that the God of Merriment and Justice became the favored deity, for Xalaxer reigned supreme still as Lord, in the minds and hearts of Iltarians for it was a time of plenty and justice.

The cursed land of the west was proclaimed by the Great Council of 565 YT reclaimed and the wave of thousands of Iltarians went west across the passes of the Glaxion into the west to follow the decree of the council and so went there for the glory of the Ten Lords. The west was settled and new Porxasis were made. Roskea is the land of roses where the city of Roxia was founded. Next are the Porxa of Helaxis of the “Hundred Lakes” and the lake city of Luexas was founded. The Porxa of Intelix was settled ever further west and north, now famed for its rare red crystals. In the southwest along the jagged coasts of the Sea of Mentaxis is the Porxa of Mentarix and the grand port city of Moraxis watches over its stormy seas. The last Porxa is Icerax is the northwesternmost region of Iltaria and a snow covered land where the cold city of Ixeron braves the cold and brings trade of uralox, great beasts of white fur and its many trees that are brought in the shipyards of Moraxis where great ships of large sails and greater hulls are made to combat the stormy lands of the seas that it is in.

In The Year of the Ten Lords 628 Imperat Dalaxion Fourth of Calling, son of the Imperat Imentyx First of Calling, married to Imperatra Imoyxia, and had one son, who has predeceased him and three daughters, died in his sleep. He was succeeded by his grandson Dalaxion Fifth of the Calling son to his daughter the Prinxeas Herexia to the Corxatis Imotyx. Imperat Dalaxion Fifth of Calling, called “the Westerward” oversaw the expansion in the west and continued prosperity of Iltaria. And so came and went from the line of Dalaxion Fifth of Calling, the Imperats of the Galaroxian Epoch.

In The Year of the Ten Lords 650 Imperat Dalaxion Fifth of the Calling “the Westward”, married to Imperatra Delyxia, who bore him three sons, Prinxeps, or “Most Favored Child”, Alaex, Uratyx, and Morvayx, passed away in his sleep and went to the Land of the Glorious. He was succeeded by his son Alaex First of Calling and created roads and continued the prosperity and peace in Iltaria, and The Lord Galarox was most pleased with Imperat Alaex First of Calling did, and so the land bloomed, and none knew hardship and the Lord Calaxes wept not for the land was abundant and fruitful for the people.

In the Year of our Lord 673 Imperat Alaex First of Calling called “the Fortunate”, who was married to Imperatra Ormantyx daughter to Porxator Veryxn of Litarexis, and bore him one son Dalaxion, and two daughter, died in peace and went to the Land of the Glorious. He was succeeded by his son Imperat Dalaxion Sixth of Calling. And the Imperat Dalaxion Sixth of Calling did make many temples and many fields bloom and was tilled and prosperity was had in Iltaria and the land goods did flow from east to west and west to east and the people were contented and happy.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 696 Imperat Dalaxion Sixth of Calling, called “the Pious", married to Imperatra Moryxn and bore him a son, and a daughter, the Prinxeps Dalaxion, and the Prinxeas Veryxia. He was succeeded by his son the Imperat Dalaxion Seventh of Calling, and the Imperat Dalaxion Sevent of Calling did drained more of the marshland of Xelerxis and made the land bloom around the capital, and the Arc-Prelate of Calaxon truly was his closest of advisor and together they did make the land prosper.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 720 the Imperat Dalaxion Seventh of Calling, called “the Green-Touched”, married to the daughter of the Porxator of Fexaria, his cousin the Imperatra Zendoxia, and she bore him one son the Prinxeps Xoloran. He was succeeded by his son, the Imperat Xoloran First of Calling. And the Imperat Xoloran did codified the laws of Iltaria, and did summon the Arc-Prelate of Galarox, Joraxyn, to council him, and to dispense justice and merriment and to teach his young son, and the land did learn to love the just Imperat.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 754, the long lives Imperat Xoloran First of Calling, called “the Just”, married to the daughter of the Porxator of Litarexis, the Imperatra Helexia, who did bore him two sons the Prinxeps Dalaxion, and the Prinxeps Xoloran called “the Younger”. He was succeeded by his son, elected by the Council of Archon, the Imperat Dalaxion Eight of Calling, and the Imperat Dalaxion Eight of Calling did love to throw feasts, and pageantry in the Halls of Dalaxion, and the people did love him for his charity and good-nature. Tragedy would struck as the Imperat Dalaxion Eight of Calling did grieved deeply for the death of his brother the Prinxeps Xoloran.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 767 the Imperat Dalaxion Eight of Calling, called “the Joyous”, married to the Imperatra Mexarynia, who did bore him two sons, and daughter, the Prinxeps Xoloran, the Prinxeps Imentyx, and the Prinxeas Yoraxia. He was succeeded by his son the Imperat Imentyx Second of Calling, elected by the Council of Archons, for his eldest son did die young, which caused great heartbreak to the Imperat Dalaxion Eigth of Calling “the Joyous” whose face never did light up the room anymore, and the Imperat Imentyx Second of Calling did build the Sanctum of Ilintix, and did greatly enjoy the company of many Prelate of Records.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 781 Imperat Imentyx Second of Calling, married to the Imperatra Seleryxia, daughter of the Porxator of Litarexis, Meraxyn, who was the Corxatis of the Imperat Imentyx First of Calling, and the Imperatra did bore him two sons the Prinxeps Imentyx, and Prinxeps Mirentyx. And the Imperat Imentyx Second of Calling, called “the Learned” died in his sleep, and went to the Land of the Glorious and his son was elected Imperat Imentyx Third of Calling and the Imperat did construct the many teatris, and tavernix in Xalaxion and did patronise the arts and the musicians and the land did know of wonder and majesty.

In the Year of the Ten Lords 800 the Imperat Imentyx Third of Calling, who was called “the Artist” who was married to Imperatra Goradyxia daughter of the Porxia of Fexaria, Orvaynx who did expand the trade in the seas across the cities of Ferrantix, Haraxi, and onwards to Mentarix and the many cities of the coasts, and the Imperat did die upon his great fever and went to the Land of the Glorious, and the Archons did elect Imperator Mirentyx First of Calling, brother of the Imperator, for the Imperator Imentyx did have no sons nor daughters for Imperatra Goradyxia did not share any affection with him. And the Imperat Mirentyx did read the tomes in the Sanctum of Ilintix and did consult many a Prelate of Records of the land of origins of the Iltarians.

And so the Imperat dreamt of the east of the lands of his ancestors and so he was forevermore called the “the Outward” and the Galaroxian Epoch did end for what followed was the tragedy of the return to the Lands of the Thrice-Damned-Throne.”
