Towing capability for 2024 Atlas Peak Edition 4 cylinder turbo

Looking into getting a pop up A frame camper for my Atlas to tow. Being a 4 cylinder turbo engine with a max towing capacity of 5000 pounds, it seems possible on paper that this could work for weekend trips however I am concerned about wear and tear on the vehicle and wondering if there’s anyone else that tows a camper with a 4 cylinder Atlas?

Just for data, looking at a few campers with these specs :

dry weight 2000-2600 #

Liked loaded weight 2400-4000#

Tongue weight DRY 222 to 351 #

Likely real world tongue weight 300-600#

Length 17-19’

From my research, if I were to get one of these campers above, it was recommended to get semi metallic brake pads, slotted rotors , install a transmission cooler, use premium fuel, electrical brakes on the camper to sync with the vehicle brakes, and of course more frequent servicing intervals.

Any recommendations are helpful to if this is a good idea or bad idea. Car is basically brand new with low mileage and we intend to keep it for a while as it’s a good family vehicle.

Thanks in advance !
