I just realized I've been making coffee wrong for years and it changed my mornings completely
For the past few years I've been using a drip machine and wondering why my coffee always tasted kind of flat and bitter. Turns out I was using way too much water and not enough coffee, and also the water was too hot because I'd let it boil fully before pouring.
A friend mentioned the "golden ratio" (about 1:15 coffee to water by weight) and suggested letting boiled water sit for 30 seconds before brewing. I tried it this morning and honestly it was like drinking coffee for the first time. Smooth, slightly sweet, no bitterness at all.
It's such a small thing but it's genuinely made my mornings better. Anyone else have a small habit change that ended up making a surprisingly big difference in your daily life?
