Over before it begins

I've struck out for two years trying to find a CCLS job. I have a masters in Child Life and an undergraduate degree in Public Policy.

I've applied to all the children's hospitals in my city, and been rejected from all of them for "lack of experience."

I'm quitting the field.

Would love to know if any of y'all have pivoted into new careers. I have no idea what I want to do anymore; this was my dream. I NEED work and I can't take the rejection anymore.

Job pivot suggestions welcome; I don't want to get another degree that'll put me further in debt and I don't want to teach. I really value 1:1 educating and advocating.

Thanks, y'all. Wish I could say it's been fun.

Why is my Sun Tea-rrarium FILLED with fungus gnats? They’re multiplying in there, as in I saw two doing their little gnasty deed. Sorry for all the puns. I’m grossed out. It’s closed; but just today I put a yellow sticky on the opening at the top and the funnel at the bottom bc that’s the only way I’m thinking they could get in.

I don’t think it’s 100% airtight because few things are, but I’m doing my best. Will they eventually die off from lack of oxygen? Can I troubleshoot this somehow? Are they going to completely eff up my terrarium?

Layers: a ton of charcoal, small pebbles, perlite, dirt. Contains an asperagus fern, hypoestes, and scavenged moss that I soaked in water for 24 hrs before putting it all together. Terrarium is about 1.5 months old.
