The last two days my nipples are SCREAMING when I pump. I recently changed flange sizes after using the straight 24mm for my spectra (the lactation person at the hospital measured me and that’s what I was told to use) down to a 19mm. Is there anything I can do for the pain out of the normal things like pain meds? I want to cry every time I pump today because it’s so uncomfortable. I assume it’ll resolve in a few days now that I’m using flanges but in the meantime??

I’m 11 days PPD and pumping 1-1.5oz a side every time I pump. For now that’s enough to feed my little man but I’m just wondering if this is normal for this stage? I’m pumping every 3 hours (except over night I pump once). Is there anything else I should be doing to increase supply other than staying hydrated?

Feeling discouraged. It seems like my milk has come in but no matter what I try, my baby won’t stay latched. He just fights it. Other than trying nipple shields (waiting for them to come) do you have any other tips?
