I’m looking for some advice on how to best use remaining education benefits and would appreciate any perspectives.

I’m in my mid-40s and currently work in supply chain (transportation, logistics, warehousing, customs compliance, etc.). I recently completed my MBA from a state school and have about 20 years of experience in the field, including leading small teams (7-15) for roughly 6 years. I also have the ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional certification.

Here’s my situation:

  • I have about 6 months of GI Bill benefits left, which would roughly cover 2 semesters
  • My employer offers $10k/year in tuition reimbursement for approved programs

I’m trying to figure out the best ROI on these remaining benefits at this stage of my career.

A few directions I’ve considered:

  • Specialized master’s (analytics, supply chain, data science, etc.)
  • Technical skills (Python, data analysis, etc.)
  • Certifications

My goals are to:

  • Stay competitive and relevant long-term
  • Potentially open doors to higher-level roles
  • Avoid wasting time/money on low-value credentials

If you were in my position, how would you use the GI Bill + employer reimbursement combo?

I appreciate your advice or experiences.
