I’ve come across this issue 2 times one with Xiaomi another with an oppo both Android where the phone randomly starts having an ad and you can’t exit unless home button is pressed I managed to solve the first issue with the XMI by disabling it in the setting but for the oppo that option just doesn’t seem to exist. Phone repair suggested a full reset but I’m thinking it may just be a simple optimisation from the setting like the XMI.

In case you think it’s from application I’ve deleted all shady/unrelated apps both app owners(old folks) won’t need
