Windshield replacement
So I thought I had a chip free windshield until today, swapped to my summer wheels, did a couple laps around the block to reset the tire pressure sensors and when I pulled back into my driveway this crack appeared out of nowhere. Only thing I can think is that there was a very small chip and because the temperature change the last few days it cracked. Anytime I do take a rock off my glass I always check for a chip incase I need to get it filled, I also barely drive due to not working for nearly a year and when I do I never tailgate specifically to avoid rock chips. But I guess I must have missed one and ya I'm gonna have to pay for it. I don't think my insurance covers chips or cracks and I have a 25p+ so HUD, sensors and heated section for the wipers. I assume it won't be cheap.
I'm wondering where most people would go for a replacement? The dealer is my first choice as I don't really trust random shops with my car but I'm curious what others think.
