My priority date is April 2025, and I applied for EB2 NIW. My lawyer is EP.

They are not recommending premium processing for my I-140. Instead, they are recommending that I file I-485.

I am currently on J-1 status, and I am concerned about one issue. If I file I-485, my worry is that next year I may not be able to extend my DS-2019 because of the pending I-485.

Has anyone here extended their DS-2019 after filing I-485 based on a concurrent filing, especially before I-140 approval?

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation or has experience with J-1 extension after filing AOS.
