Help! What to expect in the Caucasus mountains?
Hello everyone,
I'm hoping some Georgian locals can help me out with some questions about the weather in the Caucasus mountains. I've tried looking it up, but the sites I found don't quite answer the questions I have.
I'm lucky enough to be able to visit Georgia this summer (mid June - mid July). I'm going to be travelling alone. I'll start by visiting the cities, but after that I'll mostly be hiking in the Caucasus mountains.
The questions I have:
How much rain should I expect while hiking? Should I bring good waterproof gear?
What is the absolute minimum temperature I can expect in the mountains? (I know this depends on the height, but I won't be climbing big mountains, I'll be doing stuff like the Mestia - Ushguli hike).
What is the average temperature I should expect in the mountains?
