I fear “my” puppy is becoming a daddy’s girl

Pics for evidence 😂 I’ve warned him that if she becomes his dog, we’re getting another one! I suspect she’s so enamored with him because he is a soft touch when it comes to sharing food.

This is my Frankie girl. She’ll be 5 months on the 11th. She’s my dream puppy and, I joke, my cancer puppy. We planned to get a puppy after our 18.5 m year old cat passed last April, but my husband didn’t get serious about finding my girl until I was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer in November (surgery cured me in Jan!). He decided life was too short to not have the puppy I’ve dreamt about for so long. She came home on Feb 8, just a month after my double mastectomy. She’s a puppy, so obviously lots of work, but we both love her dearly. She’s really a good girl. She loves everyone, even our grumpy teen that’s not very interested in her. She takes really well to training. She’s learned to use bells to tell us she needs to go outside. She’s not 100% without accident, but when she does have them inside, it’s almost always our fault for not paying close enough attention.

She’s a pretty big girl already. She was just under 4lbs when we got her at 8 weeks. She now weighs over 12lbs! Our vet says her body condition is great. It’s funny to see such variety in size for Cavaliers. She met another Cavalier at a pet store that was full grown and smaller than her!
