I purchased an Arcturus Rainier wool blanket last fall and wore it like a cloak a bit through winter. I love it. Its super warm and not scratchy. I'm going to keep it in pattern but want to add some flair. I like the idea of a woven trim along the front facing edge.

On the first picture both the yellow and red would be places for trim. Something 1 1/2" wide or so.

Second pic, green circles would be buttons that are attached on the inside of the outer layer and eyelets on the inside layer. This would help keep it together in the wind I think. The blue square would be for a pocket. Large enough for a full size mitten at least. Most likely a button flap as well.

Third picture would be the same at the second. Buttons along the edge and a large pocket.

Forth pick is just an up close of the edge, fabric, and pin. This blanket is very sturdy and I have not reservations about sewing on it. I want to make a little decorative patch or border around the pin something to mark where it goes. So when its taken apart to wash or to use as an actual blanket I can index the location correctly.

I'm open to ideas for an edging and pockets. Preferably in a red/green scheme.
