I see people referencing prayer online all the time, and just today, a loved one shared a Charlie Kirk meme about the importance of teaching our children to pray. I don't think it ever entered my mind as a Christian to ask how I would verify if prayer were real. But now, as someone who has deconstructed from the faith, these questions pop up, and rather than just ponder how I probably would have responded, I would instead like to see if there are Christians out there willing to give a reply.
Do you know of verifiable evidence that prayer is real and actually works?
Or, how do you think we could test such a thing?
And, is it unfair to use the potential lack of verification of prayer as a reason to no longer believe?
