Can’t decide between Stockholm and A Coruña for Erasmus — any advice?
Hellloo!!!
I've always wanted to study abroad and I applied for ERASMUS+ mobilities in my university. I applied for the second semester of the first year of my master Degree, and I was accepted for both University of A Coruña and Stockholm University. Now I am extremely confused and I don't know what to choose cause there are so many good and bad aspects for both of them!!!
In A Coruña I like it because it's in Spain, it's near the ocean, the living cost are decent, the food is cheaper and I could visit a lot of any other places, like Barcelona, Madrid, Porto. plus, I saw there is a great community for the Erasmus students.
But the bad aspects are the fact they I would have to study in Spanish (the only thing I know is "hola" and "no Tengo dinero"). Plus, the city is kinda small, idk about the opportunities it offers.
On the other hand, Stockholm is like, top tier academic environment. There will be a lot of international students, I heard the professors are very friendly and all the courses will be IN ENGLISH!! Plus, Stockholm is a very big and beautiful city, full of life and culture!
But the BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE is that IT'S EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO LIVE THERE! I know the Erasmus grant won't cover all the expenses, I am from a modest family, and even tough I will stay at the dorm and eat only from IKEA, I don't know how I would survive there. Plus, the weather will probably be extremely rainy and cold, Wich I hate..
So yeah, I am EXTREMELY confused and I really don't know what to choose. Maybe someone who has studied in this countries will help me decide!
