So in episode 20 of dc4 hannah and logan scene was a case in the dvc community

Many ppl think that this scene is peak and that logan and hannah are such great and good characters

While many ppl took issue w this scene but for the wrong reasons

Now this scene in general was one of the parts that i least liked of episode 20

For smth episode 20 is the worst episode of all the season along with episode 26

So to get started let me tell you w this scene is bad:

After hannah and amelie disagreement hannah starts....breaking down

Now i think this is my least favorite part of hannah,she tends to have this melodramatic scenes when she breaks down and cry and by some reason the dialogue quality gets really bad

Logan approach

Hannah continues breaking down cursing her dead mom...and you know

Honestly idk why is she yelling this,i could get it if for example amelie got med evacuated or was the one eliminated but noooo So....what?

This feels more as trauma dumping from hannah than anything else

Now logan units her to continue...oh god

Ok it didnt started bad,logan start parisina hannah abt her courage,as how his character is written....at least...in part

This doesnt feel wrong he praises her for feeling that she can be vulnerable

Unlike....him?

And then he starts feeling bad for himself teeling that he is too bad cuz he got bronze and he isnt perfect and....you alr got me off

The first thing abt how he praises her was fine

But why is he talking abt him now if he was trying to confort hannah you should do that,well as how onc always need to found out a way to make us feel sympathy for logan i suppose thats the reason

Logan tend to bring up thing that doesnt have to do nothing to the conversation in a poor anttempt of trying to make us feel bad for him as how he bring up his team homophobia when he and hannah break bottles and when he talks to isabel in the next episode(but honestly this is mostly poorly done and makes logan an extremley unlikeable character)

The scene gets a bit better when they both start breaking botones but still as a whole the scene feels very fumbled and only as trauma dump

This happens in ep 22 at the start again

So it isnt that logan compares him getting bronze to hannah dead mom

Its that he starts talking abt him getting bronze when hannah is talking abt her dead mom and makes it feel off,cuz....why? They werent talking abt that

This is the reason why ppl should actually complaing abt the scene lmao

Theres somethings apart of his arc that there is to like

As his strategic gameplay and how he is an antagonistic force and mostly his relevance in the season(and withouth him...s4 would have been bad)

But lest be fr his main arc was w diego and somehow w logan

Now many ppl hate this arc and i honestly think they dont know how his character arc acually was done

So lets start with this....

Mainly it was abt how he got fear of falling in love again,which lead to him eliminating diego,while spencer liked him he hided and didnt confronted him,broking diego heart,which start to make spencer feel guilty and guilty,but also frustrated as how he lost the control....but also saying it was cuz of what happened w diego,showing how it his mostly regret even calling himself a shitty person

W logan mostly it was abt how he needed to open up and learn to comunícate,while the conflict was.....not done in the best way at least it showed how spencer learned

And after that the whole conflict between him and diego was pretty good

While in the mathlete part he have some inconsistent moments as in the kiss

But overall that is spencer arc....but ITS FINE

The fact that many ppl hate this....makes me see some of you dont bother to look more than the especific things they like abt him,while i dont think he need another plot related to this,i mean his arc is alr done well

I think that many ppl opposing to his arc in s4 mostly didnt oppose to the actual problems,his arc have problems but itself in base isnt as bad as many ppl think.....agakn it does have flaws mostly in the mathlete part ppl doesnt want to see the possitive part abt it

Out of all dvc characters diego is one of the most hated and i honestly ngl....i dont like how this fandom have preceived him....

Out of all characters diego doenst have the BEST character arc,even more once upon a time i tough he was just a character that existed for another

But after reading his comic....i understanded him more

So let me tell you how diego olivo mendoza is actually pretty cool!

In base for the first five episodes diego falls in love w spencer,this mostly cuz he find him attractive and also abt the starglazing(sadly we didnt see this)

After this spencer flirts w him in ep 3 which started a miscommunication between these 2

Despite jade biggest attempts basically benji hattori decided it was a great idea to fumble it

While diego atp isnt such a great character he have a defined personality and honestly i never saw him as a "creep" or smth like that while he technically was trying to get closer to spencer he mostly failed cuz at the moment spencer still was pretty reserved abt himself

And all of this got a climax in ep 5

The drama between these 2 in this episode honestly got me on the fuckass diencer train

I was curious abt how this miscommunication was displaying,all the tensión before the elimination which most of us alr know...Diego got blindsided and got his heart broken by spencer,to clarify NO

Spencer wasnt direct abt his feelings and cowardly blindsided diego

In ep 13 he clearly looks sad abt how things went wrong,but clearly....dissapointed of himself

Diego is a hopeless romantic as a whole and many ppl problem was how he wasnt getting claimed by his attitude....but ep 16 happened

Atp spencer have showed a very big regret and all that showed in this episode

They both clearly owe each other but diego doesnt feel comfortable while spencer feels guilty and sad abt how this all displayed

In their discussion diego tells the truth,he felt betrayed,heartbroken and as he says...as a fool

While spencer clearly regrets abt this neither him or diego know how to fix this and spencer thinks bringing him back is the way

While diego doesnt come back spencer and him got that final conversation when diego addmits his mistakes and tells spencer that he deserves the better

While this was mostly talking abt diencer plotline this will lead to what im going to explain

After what happened diego clearly feels bad abt how thins went on

But he clearly havent moved on completley....and thats fine....

Ppl need time to heal abt how they got hurted and diego doesnt have to jump into another relationship(sorry for the felipe and diego fans....if theres any lmao)

Diego always have tried to feel beloved by other ppl constantly jumping between relationships that as how we know never where last long

But the only one who he needed to love....was himself

After spencer hurted him he realized that looking for the love of other wasnt worth it if he doesnt love himself first

Cuz of that i like him and i love him and spencer plotline....despite how constantly gets trashed by the fandom....

I get some issues w him but honestly many ppl just wont take anything is it have the minimun flaw

Diego learned that he is the one he always needed to love in the first place

And honestly....i dont have anything but claps for onc

They turned a character i wasnt so invested into someone i rlly like

Ppl will attack you saying that you are homophobic for not liking a ship/possibility

I get some ppl exaggerate but even ppl who just personally dont want it to happen get attacked by litterally no reason

And then you have the other parte when you like the ship

And then you basically get attacked by ppl who just hate this type of stuff

Well i always wanted to do a little analysis to his character but im just gonna do it to this plotline....cuz im ngl i didnt liked logan sm in the pre merge.....

So backle up its time to destroy this plot bit by bit

Some context beforehand:so the thing is want you to keep in mind is that it was sometype of joke between the fandom that spencer was gonna pull logan as he did with diego,some ppl really wanted this ship to happen despite they never interacted....and ngl sometimes they were too harsh on diego and diencer and this was before ep 9 even released btw

So this plot started in ep 9 and the fandom receivement was....mixed,many ppl opposed to the idea lf another spencer relationship cuz the thing w diego didnt got a conclusion yet and they were expecting another dcas love triangle

And then there were mathlete fans who exploded....i litterally dont know why? I suppose cuz both man that are conveniently attractive for the fandom made ppl turn crazy abt a ship that to me felt very uninteresting....

So i tough:ok maybe this plot is gonna be well focused and focus more on logan bi plotline!.....how innocent i was lmao

Ep 9 is the setup so isnt that bad

But after that the plotline only is a vague and uninteresting dynamic between logan and spencer

They are friends...and thats all but for some reason MANY ppl tough this 2 got "chemistry" which is one of the biggest lie this fandom have ever tried to sell me lol

The chemistry cant exist cuz spencer didnt liked logan at all,he liked him as a friend yeah but two guys being friends doesnt mean chemistry....why ppl couldnt act normal abt it-

Oh...i think i get it....onc constatly selled an artificial "romantic" tension between this 2 when that never existed but apart of that many ppl tough that cuz they liked the ship beforehand and cuz of that they tough this 2 got chemistry

Apart of that theres....no so much to talk

In spencer case he barely exist in this plotline actually lmao isnt unil ep 12 that he actually have a moment and that just maked more clear that mathlete was just a lie lol

Cuz he cryng abt feeling guilty,constantly feeling bad when someone call diegos name....i thinks its pretty obvius that he wasnt having a good time there(keep this in mind)

Spencer part is abt having someone to open up and learn to communicate

First part w logan is...fine but overall i would prefer if it was jade/isabel at merge,SPECIALLY ISABEL both spencer and isabel got into bad experience w their ex boyfriends and a conversation between them could have been such a personal moment and an actual bond

And in the aspect of communication....um...it would be better if the situation was different...ill explain it later

So now lets move on to ep 14,15 and 16

So in this episode the plots NOW starting to focus on what is important

Richard and logan scene is very sweet and the conclussion between logan and spencer was fine...well it would be more if this just confirmed that they teased mathlete w #that scene

Lets talk abt ep 15 kiss....which is...bad 🫠

Let me explain you:logan knewed abt how spencer was feeling thanks to episode 12 right?....then why the f*ck is he kissing him like- what?! That makes look logan very selfish not thinking abt how spencer have been feeling...and he know it!

Oh and spencer consent it?! Why?????? Spencer never showed having feelings or attraction to him(and dont come here to tell me logan is attractive or smth cuz that was never clarified if he was it for spencer lol)

I think this also make nat and him scene a bit....weird cuz logan isnt being fully honest :/

And the kiss as was uneccesary make logan and spencer look worse and the conflict feel very artificial and just a chapa way to tease the audience

You get the problem ain it?

Logan bi awakening wasnt handled correctly focusing on the wrong parts and teasing the audience

I think this have maked me dont like logan sm in pre merge and in the start of merge....
