Hey Raleigh/Triangle, just wanted to share my experience with Kids EveryWEAR (South Hills Mall) in case anyone else is thinking about consigning there. My wife and I recently consigned a large selection of adult clothing, carefully washed and inspected everything ourselves, and had some issues that I think other people should know about.
What happened:
- We submitted items we personally inspected and hand-hung all in excellent condition
- After the sale, they flagged 5 items as "stained" and disposed/donated them without ever letting us inspect them
- At pickup, we were denied the ability to see the rejected items, given no photos, and had no way to dispute their claims
- Owner Gail Walker personally handles all stain inspections with zero oversight
Red flags:
- Their own FB consignor group bans complaints consignors are told to email Gail privately instead. That keeps everyone in the dark about patterns
- As of April 2026 they charge a $1/item fee for rejected items creates a financial incentive for them to reject your stuff
- They charge $5 just to see your own sales report most consignors never even buy it, so they never know the full breakdown
- Not BBB accredited
I'm posting this here because their own group doesn't allow public complaints. Just want fellow Triangle people to be aware before trusting them with your hard work.
UPDATE: I’m looking at my official Seller Report right now. Out of 71 items sold we only received $84.94. The report actually admits their scanners failed and items had to be 'hand-keyed.' I was also fined for 8 items that were immediately donated, white-tagged items, so I paid for 'damages' that I can't even verify exist. It’s a closed system designed to minimize our payouts.
I’ve officially moved forward with filing formal complaints with the FTC and the NC Attorney General. While digging into this, I found the "KE Affiliate Program" on their public website. They literally have a checklist (Task 3, 4, 10, etc.) that pays people in "KE Bucks" (store credit/cash equivalents) and "Platinum Tickets" in exchange for leaving 5-star Google/Yelp reviews, and flooding their Facebook/Instagram with hearts, gifs, and comments within a 1-hour window. Here is the direct link to their Affiliate Program page,
If you're wondering why their online reviews look so glowing while actual consignors are waiting in long lines to complain about $1 fines—it's because they are paying for that positive engagement to bury the truth.
Has anyone else had similar experiences consigning with them?
