My sweet boy is 9 months old and is still being trained. Totally normal and I get it, but he decided that a man outside (not a normal person in the neighborhood) is causing him stress. He keeps growling and barking at this guy.

We’ve had loud yard work, garbage pick up, tons of walking neighbors, loud kids, etc. and he never barks at them. This one new worker is pissing him off for some reason. I’ve been working on companding speaking and to quiet down when asked, he isn’t responding to this training and I’m curious if this is some kind of random protection or if maybe there is something internally happening with him.

Any advice or understanding I’m missing? I’ve tried redirecting but he isn’t responding. He is very upset with this one man working outside. A little shaking and growling and loud barks.

Just interested in other experiences after surgery and when to expect some relief.

I have an ACLr with meniscus repair for a bucket handle tear on left knee 11 days ago. I’ve previously had an ACLr back in 2017 on the same knee and that recovery was a breeze compared to this one. I was told they used an anchor in the bone to hold my meniscus sutures in place and it’s caused so much freaking pain I don’t know what to do. I don’t even understand how I’m supposed to just take ibuprofen and Tylenol now. They don’t help with pain management at all.

Is this normal?

I’m growing a tolerance for the pain as it’s not new and scary now but it’s still extremely uncomfortable/painful. I have a high pain tolerance but this meniscus repair is kicking my butt.
