Reds flyhalf Gordon cleared of serious knee injury as they prepare for Blues ANZAC fixture

Just a cartilage injury apparently, which sounds like its a minor thing so here's to hoping he can finally start shaking off his bad run of injuries.

For all the memes and jokes preseason about rhe flyoff logjam at the Reds wed be up shits creek without a paddle rn if we didnt have that 4 player deep depth

Hot Take, but Tane is not as bad as what we all make him out to be, and could easily still develop into a solid dependable 10 in the mould of the Bernard Foleys of the world.

Should he have been our defacto 10 for the northern tour? I think in hindsight we can all agree that no, he should not have been, but there must have been something there that Joe and everyone else in that Wallabies environment who know and have forgotten more about rugby than any of us here, saw in him as a potential. Last year was a horror year for our flyoff injuries so we were admittable running low on stocks and depths, but I genuinely think Tane will come right the exact same way that Meredith has (ignore last weekend).

I do think Joe has one and a half major sins under his tenure as the Wallabies coach, which are 1) the leaving behind of Donno on that end-of-year tour, and his general management under the Schmidt Wallabies, and 1/2) just the general inclusion of Jake Gordon over Longergan as starting nine. But I think Edmed has it in him to surprise us all with his ability and will if he gets more game time with the Brumbies this season.

Also, what do you guys reckon would be his chances at 12? Does he have the frame for it? He played out of position there during that Cape Town test where we had a bunch of horror injuries happen, cause the Springboks were playing with intent to cause harm, see the weird leg tackles they were doing and Kolbes tackle on JOC for evidence of that statement, after the Ellis Park game, and he looked good doing it for the ~15 mins he was on.
