1 Year Migraine Free

Hi all,
I am super excited to share that I have officially hit one year migraine free! I have been sharing previously about my journey. I have tried all kinds of meds like beta blockers, sumatriptan but none really ever moved the needle. Eventually I got on Ajovy and that brought my migraines per month down. I also tried a bunch of migraine tracking apps. My favorite so far is Headache Hero. What was important for me is how I now understand my migraine threshold. I feel like this is really important to helping you all too. So basically what my neurologist told me was that not one specific trigger causes a migraine. But, it is the sum of your triggers. And, everyone has a different sensitivity based on your genetics. Us migraine sufferers happen to have a lower threshold I guess. And so, when I look at the most common migraine triggers, as long as I keep those below two or three in a day, my body can handle it. But if I say stack, bad sleep, alcohol, and bright lights, then I hit my threshold. I am genuinely surprised this has actually worked for me, and I had to pass this along. Wishing you fellow migraine sufferers all the best ❤️.
