Hey guys, I really need some advice.
I’m a transfer applicant and the financial aid deadline was yesterday at 11:59 PM. I was literally on the last step (document uploads) and had everything done. Only the last two documents (Plot 1 and Plot 2) were left. I went back for a second to check which property was which (since the portal doesn’t clearly show it), and when I came back, all my uploaded documents were gone. Everything.
I had to re-upload everything from scratch and in that process, the deadline passed.
What makes it worse is that for the past few days I had confusion about how to enter family income (the portal only had “self” and “spouse”), and I didn’t get a response on my query. I had to call them yesterday and finally got clarity, which is why I was cutting it close to the deadline in the first place.
I’ve already:
- emailed the financial aid office
- submitted another query on the portal
But today is Labour Day and then weekend is coming, so I’m guessing they won’t respond anytime soon.
Honestly, I put a lot of time and effort into this form, and my parents did too to arrange all the documents, so this just feels terrible and I feel so defeated.
Does anyone know:
- Do they ever give extensions in cases like this?
- Can they accept documents via email?
- Or am I just fully cooked and they’ll consider my application without financial aid now? (also is it bad looks, even if they consider it without it, as I couldn't submit the application?)
Any help would mean a lot right now.
