I’ve inherited a pond having never had one before, could anyone help any tips or any general maintenance comments, my main questions;
the water levels have dropped significantly over the last few months - is this normal or potentially a leak? Is tap water okay to fill back up with? I’d read rainwater is better but I’d already used the water butt water so that’s all I’m left with
should I have the pump running 24/7?
are all of these plants okay - any specifically which need to be kept in check? At certain heights / or how far they spread? Mostly concerned about the bamboo and mint….
are the snails a problem ?
there was a layer of algae which I removed a few weeks ago and have added barley straw, is some layer of moss normal or should I keep removing and build up?
do I need to clear any debris which falls in?
