I'm a parent and writer researching an article on the readiness of kids entering kindergarten. The results from the 2025 School Readiness report out of the U.K. are a bit concerning. I'm wondering if any U.S.-based teachers have had similar experiences as the U.K. teachers - kids not understanding how to use a book, hold a crayon, not toilet-trained, unable to eat/drink independently, or other issues from the report, or things teachers may have seen that indicate a decline in readiness or developmental milestones. I've got two points of focus: the direct impact of technology on kids' readiness, and its indirect impact through their parents' use of technology.
