22yo female, 58kg and 5”6 (healthy BMI). No other medical conditions but family history of varicose veins, and I take the combined BC pill.

I’ve had this on the back of my left knee for a few years, first noticed it when I was doing retail shifts stood at a standing till for 7 hours straight, without moving or sitting down. I have an achey feeling at the back of my leg whenever I crouch down.

It doesn’t bulge out of the skin at all, it is completely flat. My main issues with it are the sight of it (it’s quite dark on my pale skin) and the fact I get the achey feeling.

Does anyone know if this is a varicose vein or something else? And should I get it treated?
