I am in my 70s and I am trying to understand how to obtain a historical certificate of citizenship from the Comune di Roma. I need this document because I want to reacquire Italian citizenship.

Has anyone here requested this certificate from Rome before? I checked the Roma website, and I can't find anything about this document.

I would be grateful for advice on:

1. Where exactly to request it?
2. What documents or information are required — birth certificate, old Italian documents, proof of residence, ID, etc.?
3. How long it usually takes to receive the certificate?
4. Any tips for dealing with the Comune di Roma or the relevant office.

I was born/previously registered in Rome, and I am trying to gather the right documents before starting the citizenship reacquisition process.
