Hello everyone,
I am in my 70s and I am trying to understand how to obtain a historical certificate of citizenship from the Comune di Roma. I need this document because I want to reacquire Italian citizenship.
Has anyone here requested this certificate from Rome before? I checked the Roma website, and I can't find anything about this document.
I would be grateful for advice on:
- Where exactly to request it?
- What documents or information are required — birth certificate, old Italian documents, proof of residence, ID, etc.?
- How long it usually takes to receive the certificate?
- Any tips for dealing with the Comune di Roma or the relevant office.
I was born/previously registered in Rome, and I am trying to gather the right documents before starting the citizenship reacquisition process.
Thank you very much for any help or personal experience you can share.
