I’ve been interested in getting a motorcycle forever. I’ve always thought it was cool and my car right now is a gas guzzler so this seems like a great decision.
I’m 6’4 190 pounds and would like the option to backpack my 5’6 fiancée.
Here’s my thought process (bare with me pls)
Dealerships seem safer. But out the door prices aren’t cool
Private dealers are more sketch for me especially as a first timer. But obviously cheaper
I don’t know what I’m looking at and I’m not at that skill level where I can hop on anything and try it out yet. I’m currently taking MSF courses tho!
Also I’m learning that the current market is odd. People are selling their bikes such as the ninja 400 as an example from anywhere from 3999-6500$ for 2021-2026 brand new to 7 years old! It’s so weird to me that dealerships and private sellers alike are thousands off for the same product.
Would love some insight on this! Also I’m in Virginia at the moment if that helps with any thought processes
