Balance Transfer Card Recommendations
Hello,
I have two credit cards. My oldest is probably like 12 years old, it’s a Wells Fargo Cash Back College card with a credit limit of $18,500. It has about $7,500 on it.
My second is a MicroCenter card, I think only like a year or so old with a limit of $1,800 but a $0 balance on it.
My Experian score is 682, TransUnion is 725, and my EquiFax is 742.
My income is around 50k a year.
I want to open a balance transfer card so I can pay off my debt without interest. I was interested in the Citi Simplicity card and their Diamond Preferred card with the 21 month 0 APR but to be honest, I’m not super knowledgeable on this stuff. I guess the only thing I really care about is my likelihood of getting a balance transfer card with a high enough limit to transfer all my debt over, or at least a big chunk of it. For peace of mind, I like the comfort of a long 0 APR timeline, like 18-21 months. I guess does anyone have a good recommendation for a balance transfer card? Or if someone could let me know which Citi card is better or which one will most likely give me the highest transfer limit?
I quickly browsed through the sub and saw mention of being able to PC a balance transfer card into a rewards card too. I had no idea that was even a thing! How do I do that and does the balance transfer card I get make a difference in what rewards card I can PC it to? Any and all advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
