How did you tell your parents you’re moving out if not on good terms with them?

Hi everyone. I have moved out before but my parents insisted me to move back. My mistake was that I agreed thinking everything’s going to be ok since my workplace is near to my parents’ house. However, I have slowly been stressing out about the clutter in our house, the disagreements, the financial problems.

I found a small room for 5k. It’s kinda far from my workplace around 40 mins to 1 hr commute compared to my parents’ home but it already has its own cr and sink and I wanted to grab that.

I am scared to tell them I want to move out again because the last time I moved out we were not on good terms. Even if I won’t be taking the room, I still want to prepare myself and leave on good terms with them. Please help any tips or encouragement would be appreciated. Thank you

What’s something you did in your life that doesn’t involve money which led to a massive change?

I’m hoping to find some inspiration since I am feeling stuck or suffocated with my life. I work full time and that’s all I ever do. I don’t have deep and meaningful relationships at the moment.

I found some suggestions about volunteering and I was trying to sign up for an organization but I realized maybe it’s a huge commitment since they were asking for my schedule and references. I tried to book flights for a short trip but the tickets are pricier now. I tried to read self-help books but I realized I don’t like how most of them just kept on repeating the same idea or thoughts. I’m also looking for some habits I could apply in my life that would make me feel less down.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Thank you

What are low cost ways to invest in yourself while aggressively saving?

Hi everyone. I’m currently trying to build my savings aggressively so pursuing further education or certification isn’t an option for me right now because I don’t want to take on additional expenses this year. At the same time I don’t want to stay stagnant. I’m hoping to find something I can do for personal or professional growth or even just improve my quality of life.

Starting a business is also out of the question for now because I know it usually requires capital and I’m not in a position where I’m comfortable risking money.

For anyone who has been in a similar phase what are some low cost or free ways you invested in yourself while focusing on saving? What helped you grow without spending much?

Okay, I have moved out in the past and I needed to move back in because I was struggling in a lot of aspects especially financially. Now I want to move out from my parents’ house so badly but I know I will just repeat my mistakes before if I move out without savings.

The problem is I have also made bad financial decisions in the past. I would buy a lot of stuff for comfort and happiness but it did not last long and now they just give me anxiety due to the clutter. Once something goes into my parents’ house, they absolutely refuse to throw things away and we end up arguing and there is tension between us. Every time I try to bring up clutter in our house, she would just blame me saying I should have never bought those things etc.

I am well aware that moving out is the only long term solution but I still want to thrive and maybe have some peace of mind while still living with them and building my savings. How do I start? I want to get rid of a lot of things. How do I become a minimalist?

Hi everyone. Hingi lang sana ako ng tips as someone na scared or hesitant magmove out haha. Which is better po kaya?

I found a dorm-type building very near my workplace, like 5 minutes walk lang. The problem is I’ll have 3 roommates which I’ve never tried before. Di rin pwedeng magluto at maglaba, but there are karenderyas naman nearby. I somehow find this idea less scary since I’ll have roommates.

I also found newly built apartments with the same monthly rent or even less, very spacious, pero 40 minutes to 1 hour ang commute. Di rin advisable mag-motortaxi daily since medyo mahal ang fee. But the apartment is really great, with its own CR and sink, and pets are allowed. Di lang siya along the highway, so I’d have to walk a few minutes pa from the highway papunta doon.

I love the idea of renting a place na tahimik and with trees pa sa surroundings haha but safety wise okay lang kaya?

Please help me out. Thank you po in advance.

So I’m kinda feeling down and overwhelmed. I live with my parents who are hoarders. I know I need to move out but I just moved back in after they convinced me it was for the better. Now I’m planning to move out again. It’s just not something I can do right away, so for now I’m trying to build and maintain a clean and organized space of my own.

Aside from that, I’m feeling discontented with my salary, but the work environment is good so I’m hesitant to look for another job again. I feel so left behind. I’ve been daydreaming about being closer to nature and waking up somewhere peaceful, but I live in the city and honestly don’t know where to start.

To those who’ve felt this way before, what did you do? I’ve been thinking about taking mini weekend vacations but I’m not sure if it’s really doable and honestly I’m scared of traveling alone.

I went back to my endocrinologist after she requested a series of blood work and an ultrasound. I completed my blood tests, but I had difficulty scheduling the ultrasound. I wanted to get answers about my condition as soon as possible. For context, I have elevated FBS, SGPT, and cholesterol levels. FT4, TSH are normal. My main concern is my fatigue and weight gain.

She did not prescribe any medications yet and advised waiting for the ultrasound results, which I think will take weeks. What I also did not like was that she suggested tirzepatide or semaglutide without explaining how they work, and only mentioned that the benefits would outweigh the cost, without asking if I am financially able.

She wants me to return once I have the ultrasound results, and I am feeling exhausted. I do not fully understand what is going on, and I feel tired all the time and I just want this to be over.
