I'm in Manchester for a gig on Friday night with some friends who don't want to go out beyond the gig. I'm 35, new parent, and have a pass for the night so I'm keen to make the most of it and have a dance somewhere.
Most important are a good, busy vibe with nice people - I'm not too fussed about meeting people, I just want to have a dance to some loud funky house or similar music for a few hours. Ideally it'd be very busy so I can blend in and not feel looked at 😂
Current plan is Richy Ahmed at Joshua Brooks. I don't really know him or the venue but overall I thought it seemed closest to what I'm looking for. Any reason to avoid JB?
I know White Hotel is often recommended but it looks like a pretty serious techno night which isn't my bag.
Cheers for any thoughts!
