Hi!

I had to do some blood tests and other health tests due to other things I was having. My blood test was quite okay, except TSH that was at 5,12 uUI/ml (range is 0,34-4,94 in my lab). It’s not that high, but what make me hesitate is :

1/ On the 6th of January 2025 it was at 2.59 so the rise has almost doubled (idk if it is the correct way to say it in English, sorry 🤡)

2/ I’ve been gaining weight (not a lot but still and I lift weights 3 to 4 times a week) and not been able to lose it for several months (as if my body was storing more than before for no reason), I’m feeling very sluggish and have no motivation for anything, lost any form of libido (symptom I didn’t have with antidepressants so idk why it’d happen once I lower the dose), I’m getting easily irritated and I’m more tired that I usually do + been sleeping like crap. I also feel no joy, like huge anhedonia, but it’s not quite the same feeling as when I was depressed ++, it’s a weird sensation as if I was just living life bc I have to without having/wanting to d*e, just existing bc I’m on earth but it’s boring and nothing is giving me positive feelings. I’m just here.

BUT i also have to inform you that I have ADHD and meds for it (Ritaline) and since I take it I’m feeling a lot less brain fog and sluggishness (that’s why I was surprised it came back) and antidepressants which I lowered in December bc I was feeling better after two years under that molecule (and 3 years before with one that didn’t work at all for me lol).
Since, I’ve been feeling like crap, I thought the dose of antidepressants was in fact too low and I took back the dose I had (with my doctor agreement of course). It’s been 2 weeks and a half but I see no difference. It’s ok bc it could take longer for body and brain to adjust, but now with this TSH result I’m wondering if this could finally not be it.

My maternal grandma had thyroid issues and was under meds (can’t recall if it was hyper or hypo though).

I know the doctor will know the best, but rn I just need to hear your perspectives about this.

Thanks!
