My SSNHL started March 3. I hadn’t had any symptoms leading up to that. (I’d had a terrible something in January, but actually felt fine when I lost my hearing.) I’ve really been struggling with the vestibular issues and brain fog. Total disaster. Anyway, today I had an appointment with a periodontist, and it turns out that I have a raging infection in the bone around my dental implant. She thinks this has likely been going on for months (implants don’t have nerves, so I felt nothing.) Now I’m thinking this could be the cause of my hearing loss, and chatGPT agrees. Has anyone else experienced dental issues around the time of hearing loss?
