791 CIBIL, but still stuck at ₹32.5k credit limit after 2 yrs, what am I doing wrong?

Got my first credit card from Bank of Baroda around 2 years ago right after getting my first job offer. At that time I was still registered as a student, so maybe that affected the initial approval. My salary then was ~₹1.3L/month and they gave me a ₹25k limit.

Fast forward to now:

Current salary: ~₹2L/month

CIBIL score: 791

Never missed a payment

Clean credit history

Submitted last 3 salary slips + bank statements showing ₹2L+ salary credits

Recently got approved for ICICI Amazon Pay card with ₹50k limit

After review, BoB increased my limit from ₹25k → ₹32.5k only.

What confuses me is that I know people in my friend circle earning less who already have ₹1L+ limits on their cards.

I also have an HDFC salary account, but the only cards I’m currently being offered there are Swiggy HDFC and MoneyBack, both non-LTF.

At this point what should I actually do to build higher credit limits?

Should I keep this BoB card or close it?

Should I apply for new cards instead?

Should I take one of the HDFC cards or wait?

How do people actually get ₹1L+ / ₹2L+ limits?

The main issue is that low limits make credit cards almost useless for things where they help the most — laptops, phones, appliances, EMIs, etc.

Would appreciate advice from people who were in a similar situation.
