Ideally I'd like something that's essentially two 12" light bars to mount opposed from one another on the left and right hand walls surrounding the sink, controlled by a single switch. I would want the wires/cable connecting them to be nearly 4ft long for my ideal mounting situation.

I found something that is almost exactly that but I need some... clarity on a couple questions because I'm a worry wart.

First, it says "do not mount over a sink" in the listing. I assume this is some kind of standard disclaimer and doesn't indicate that there's any real danger, aside from the obvious, should it be mounted to a sink. Is it common to see that with LED light fixtures?

Second, how carefully do I need to look to find out if something marketed as an under-cabinet light will have issues being mounted vertically instead of horizontally?

I'm very open to suggestion on fixtures to use for this purpose. There's no decor to match, I just want functional lighting in my bathroom.
