The Geometry Dash Pointercrate Association Survey: RESULTS

PARTICIPANTS: 267

The Results are finally here! The survey started on May 2 2026, and ended early on May 7. Counting, Organizing and Making the Visuals took 3 days.

The purpose of this survey is to know what people think of first what first extreme demon do they have in mind when a criteria is given. You could say it as a "popularity contest"

As for the results, some of the criteria have well-distributed bars while others have one level completely dominating the charts.

You may be wondering why some of the levels outside the top 150 are here in some of the criteria. Honestly i am not too strict in my rules, i included them in a list if the eligible levels are too low or a more influential level (Cobwebs) have more recognition in that criteria despite not being in the top 150.

Conclusion: The charts show how an extreme demon can dominate due to its popularity and impact on this community. Not only with its popularity, the charts also focuses on the minority where participants thought of levels that not many people may think of. Recency can also affect how many people know about the level (Penumbral).

Experience: The first bits (Brainstorming Questions, Publishing the Forum) were the most fun part. I am genuinely surprised at how many people in this community responded. I very much appreciate it.

Counting the total responses of each level was the hardest part in making the results. It was very time consuming and i had to go beyond my screentime just to progress through. It was also really buggy so the counts may be a bit off but it doesn't really affect much.

Making the visuals was a little easier but not much of a breeze, the website i am using to make charts (Flourish) was not working and i had to spend a few hours to go around the bug. I finally fixed it the other day and went on to make the charts. After i made the charts, i put the statistics and stuff (the slides) in IbisPaintX. But here is the frustrating part. Some of the numbers of total responders in a criteria feels off, that is when i knew that the counting was way off and some of the levels i meant to remove were still there. I originally had motivation to change them back but after editing a few hours now, i lost motivation and what i did is to just put up notes at the bottom of the commentary section.

The overall experience was mixed, and i had spent it well for the most part.

I don't think i will be doing more of this as i had to spend my vacation time well here before June, but suggestions, questions and feedback regarding the survey is appreciated and will be noticed by me.
