My OW caseworker just called me and informed me that I was approved for ODSP.

After nearly 5 months of waiting, ruminating on what I should've said that might make my application better and expecting to be denied right away... I was actually approved.

I almost can't believe it. I guess it's because I kept putting off applying in the first place, since I felt that being deemed ineligible after suffering for this long would invalidate that experience (by the way, being denied the first time absolutely does not invalidate anyone's disability, I'm just saying that this is how I felt about mine).

I want to thank all of you on this subreddit for helping me out through this waiting period, answering my questions and providing your insight. It has all been invaluable to this entire process. Now it's just another waiting game to get my file transferred over from OW to ODSP, but I definitely feel better knowing that things are in motion.

Don't give up hope my friends 💜
