I originally grafted this four weeks ago. I fully wrapped the scion in plastic grafting tape (mistake, I now know). At the whip and tongue graft union I wrapped it with a rubber band and plastic grafting tape followed by electrical tape. I just unwrapped the tape and saw what seemed to be a graft healing well, but I’m not sure what the white stuff is around the graft.

Two questions
Does this look normal for one month post-graft?

Should I re-wrap it, or is it fine on its own without re-wrapping? I have the potted tree on my shaded balcony.
