I bought a duplex 6 months ago , I recently tried to get an extra garbage can for one of my units the city garbage said im at the limit for a single family home and they can't give me any more trash cans because the county has it listed as a single family home.

So my question is who do I contact to get my property as a multifamily dwelling and what kind of benifit or problems am I going to run in to ? Im In the process of splitting utillities so im assuming I need to get it changed to be able to do that
