Running 2 trucks as an owner-op — quarterly IFTA filing is the most painful part of my admin. Is anyone else in this boat?

I love everything about running my own operation except one thing: IFTA filing. Four times a year I lose half a day to fuel receipts, ELD exports, and a spreadsheet I built myself that I'm terrified to change because I don't fully understand it anymore.

Paid a bookkeeper $175 last quarter just to make sure I didn't mess it up. She took 2 hours to do what should take 20 minutes if there were a decent tool for it.

Are there other small trucking operators here? What do you use for this? I feel like this is a solved problem that nobody has actually solved.

A tool that auto-scores SAM.gov opportunities against your company profile and emails you a daily shortlist. Would this be useful?

Bit of context first. I've been talking to a handful of small govcon firms lately and the same complaint keeps coming up: everyone's spending 1-3 hours a day manually digging through SAM.gov, eyeballing opportunities, and trying to figure out if something is even worth reading in full. For a 5-person shop with no dedicated BD staff, that's a real tax on your week.

So I'm exploring building something to fix that specific problem.

The idea: you set up a profile once (NAICS codes, capability statement, set-aside status, agencies you've worked with, clearance level). The tool pulls new opportunities from SAM.gov every night, scores each one against your profile using AI, and emails you a ranked shortlist every morning. Top 5-10 opps, each with a fit score, a one-line explanation of why it matched or didn't, deadline, agency, and a direct link to the SAM.gov listing.

You don't have to log in every day. You don't have to think about what to search for. You just open your email and decide which ones are worth a closer look.

A few things I genuinely don't know yet and would appreciate honest input on:

  1. Is the daily search grind actually a pain point for your shop or do you have a system that works?
  2. Would you care more about the scoring accuracy or the daily email format?
  3. At $25/mo, does that feel reasonable or is there a number that makes more sense?
  4. Is there something else in your BD workflow that's more broken than the discovery phase?

Not trying to sell anything right now. Just trying to figure out if this is worth building before I build it. If this sounds like something you'd actually pay for or at least try, drop a comment or DM me. If it sounds useless, tell me why, that's even more helpful.
