Volume Build for flat 50M

I’m signed up for a very flat 50 miler in October. My first 50 miler but I’ve done other endurance events in the past. This year started out with me setting a consistency goal for running at least 2 miles/day. Consistency has been a problem for me in the past, but this goal has worked phenomenally for me so far.

I’ve built up to and have been floating between 25-30 miles/ week for the last couple months. I’m now starting to work on my build to 40 miles/week.

I’ve started prescribing to the Training for the Uphill Athlete type mindset. That for a recreational small fry like myself, focusing on “how can I progress my total weekly volume?” should be the main focus, and the bulk of the aerobic gains will appear with enough time. (I understand there’s more to it, but I think this is a valid takeaway from what they prescribe)

So, if I’m feeling good at 30 miles a week now. Where do you think I could healthily build my mileage to by October? I’m kind of stuck between the two mindsets of progressing 10% mileage/week, and taking it slower than that. At what weekly mileage do you think my volume progression should slow down?
