I'm new to working out, so sorry in advance if this might be a dumb question. I'm 5'3 and weigh around 114 lbs. My goal is to look more toned, especially around my core and arms.

I've done my research and think I know these would be the basics, but feel free to add or correct me if I'm wrong:

- Eat enough proteine (I try to get 80-100gr/day)

- do strenght training

- don't undereat

However; when researching this topic, I'm faced with an infinite amount of workouts, meals, ways to achieve this lean/toned look. Separate workouts for your core, separate workouts for your arms, back etc. Would just a full body workout 2-3 times a week not do the same thing? Now I'm constantly wondering if I'm doing the 'right' workouts. I like to keep it as simple as possible, but researching it only confuses me more.

I love to run as well, but there's also a lot of different opinions about doing cardio. Is it bad for muscle growth or can I still incorporate this in a weekly schedule?

TLDR: what workouts should you do to become toned?
