Hi guys, I just finished my 12th exams and started my B.Sc. in Networking and Cyber Security. I want to be as productive as possible during my college years to prepare for a career in ethical hacking.
If you were starting today, what would your first 6 months look like? I'm looking for advice on:
Which OS to master first (Linux vs. Windows internals)?
The best platforms for hands-on practice (TryHackMe, HTB, etc.)?
How much focus to put on networking fundamentals before touching "hacking" tools?
And is programming needed?if yes then which language should I learn?
I’d love to hear from anyone.
