I moved here from overseas and like a lot of immigrants, I ended up almost entirely inside my own community bubble. Same faces, same conversations, same cultural reference points. It's comfortable but it wasn't the reason I came to Canada.

I want friends from outside my community. People who grew up differently from me, eat differently, think differently, celebrate different things. Not as a checklist — just because that's what actually living in a place like Metro Vancouver should feel like.

A bit about me so this isn't faceless: I'm a music producer and mix engineer by trade — I run a studio in Surrey working mostly in hip-hop and R&B. So if you're into music, sound, or just want someone to nerd out with about what you're listening to, easy entry point. But you don't need to care about any of that. Coffee, hikes, food crawls, pickup basketball, board games — I'm down.

If you're open-minded and curious about people outside your own circle too, comment or DM. Let's stop scrolling past each other.
