Description:
Terje Skal, commonly called Terry by his American friends at his former academy, is a 16 year old male, light-toned, 6" 10' feet in height, lean in build, short black hair and black iris. He is a easy-going young man, spoken as a mostly polite individual, who when tensed, can become overtly formal, as seen when in combat. He primarily wears a featureless black T-shirt, with fingerless gloves, and the traditional Skal heirlooms- earrings and a necklace with a skull on them. After confirming he has the capability to use the Cursed Technique 'Blackrot', his jewelery's skulls were scorched to turn them black, as is tradition.
Terje Skal was the only person unaware of his family's history as a Tribe of Secrets, within his own family. His mother, sister, and father(deceased) all were active members of Runic Society, and had chosen to keep it secret from him. This was because Terje was actually adopted, and was the son of Lonnoken Skal, his adopted mother's sister, who had left the Clan and worked as a Curse User, before being executed by <REDACTED>. Her son was given to her sister's family as her last wish.
Unfortunately, Terry was introduced to Runic Society in quite a rough way- his teacher, Mr. Nikolas Steno and and best friend, Svilin Gyllene, were both Sorcerer sent to Terry's academy in an attempt to keep a close eye on the young Skal, as is done to all members of the Tribe until their Cursed Technique is developed, in an order to make sure they didn't inherit the Darkest Art. However, it seemed he was without a Technique, relaxing the two. However, fate laughed in their face, as Nikolas came into possession of the remains of the Visna, the Withered One. Aiming to transport the remains, a skull of the Stain upon the Skal Tribe, it was unfortunately intercepted by a powerful Curse, which overwhelmed both Svilin and Nikolas. Terry, desperate to save them, wore the skull instinctually, which was absorbed and fused into his own skull. Due to this, he became a Vessel for the Visna, possessing the Darkest Art, Blackrot.
He was subsequently subdued before he could go into a rampage by the Strongest Sorcerer of Today, Stevenson Jangom.
Jujutsu/Runic Capabilities:
Swordsmanship- Terry is a prodigy at swordsmanship, who despite having no past experience with the blade, learnt advanced sword styles in a matter of a few months. To be fair, he did learn from the Aesir Stevenson Jangom. He has imbued Cursed Energy into his swordsman skills, using several Runes to empower his attacks.
Runes- Terry, while not a Master Enchanter, still is more skilled at using Runes than most, using it mostly offensively, although doesn't have much experience using it to boost the power of others. He, so far as of now, has learnt the Rune of Sharpness, the Rune of Lunge, the Rune of Guard, the Rune of Sweeping, amongst others.
Barriers- Terry was taught this skill from Japan by Stevenson, who had recently visited Jujutsu High at the time. He used it to the extent of learning Simple Domain, and having heard of New Shadow Style, developed his own swordsman style based off of European swordman styles.
Biology- The Skal Bones are present in the young Sorcerer, increasing physical capabilities as well as making the Blackrot Technique possible in the first place. It also has the side effect of making Terry very tall in build.
Cursed Tool: Hellbone- A curved, somewhat blunt greatsword made of basalt, with a skull at the guard, the Hellbone was the weapon of the Visna, that was imbued with Rot. Terry, despite his misgivings, primarily uses this blade with his swordmanship skills.
Cursed Technique: Blackrot-
The Blackrot Technique is a combination of three Techniques- Rot, Bone Manipulation, Distortion. The Techniques when, through some unique circumstance, is present in one individual, can be used at the same time to form a distinct Technique, Blackrot. Only two people in history have been able to use this Technique- the Visna and Terry.
- Rot- Rot creates a strange black biological matter that upon contact, rapidly degenerates matter, shredding through most substances with ease. The user can use this as a projectile, or can imbue his physical hits with this, to cause degenerative punches.
- Withered Majestic Rose- The biological matter from this Technique combines in the presence of a Barrier to form a giant rose-resembling structure, that puffs out 'pollen', which in actuality contain the Rot effect, but now is much harder to defend against, due to the small size of the pollen, and upon being breathed in, causes internal degeneration.
- Bone Manipulation- The Inherited Technique of the Skal Tribe, Bone Manipulation, as the name suggests, manipulates the skeletal structure of the body, and without Reversed Cursed Technique and the Skal Bones, which together causes bones to be regenerated with ease, is very difficult to use. It is similar to Blood Manipulation from the East in that respect. The user can harden their bones to extreme levels, slowing the body down in exchange for much higher durability and physical strength. On the other hand, the user can force his bones to move faster, in exchnage for muscle tear. The bones can be used as external projectiles as well, which is used by most in the current Skal Tribe.
- Necromancy- The supreme form of Bone Manipulation, by imbuing Cursed Energy into a skeletal structure, or creating one themselves, they can make the skeletons act as Shikigami, fightimg for them.
- Distortion- The final of the Three Techniques, Distortion manipulates space itself, by creating powerful shockwaves that ripple through reality, shattering opponents regardless of durability. It is very similar to a purely offensive version of Sky Manipulation. This can either be used as a ranged attack, which actually has very high range for its moves, or can be imbued into physical prowess, being used for mobility or powerful strikes.
- Armour of Distorted Warfare- A special ability of this Technique used primarily by the Visna, this ability creates a layer of Distortion around the user, moving alongside him. This makes any incoming attacks much weaker, while also enhancing physical prowess. The Visna's usage of this was tied with a Binding Vow- for letting all physical attacks bypass the Armour, it counters ranged attacks even more.
- Blackrot- While the independent abilities of the Techniques are powerful on their own, Blackrot exists due to the coordination between the three. Its power is unmatched by most Techniques, which was what lifted the Visna to its power in the Old Age in the first place.
- Skull Armadeggon- By breaking off and lifting small pieces of bone with Distortion, regenerating them with Bone Manipulation and Reverse Cursed Technique into the form of skulls, and imbuing them with Rot, they can be launched as projectiles which can cause small explosions with Rot spreading fast through it.
- Skull Armadeggon: Ragnarok- Using Skull Armadeggon while creating a layer of Distortion around it, the explosive power of each skull is sky-rocketed, destroying any foe in the user's path.
- Hela's Legion- Using the Necromancy skill while imbuing the skeletons with Rot, the skeletons can imbue hits with Rot, and even upon death, can spread it around them.
- Death Wave- Creating shockwaves with Distortion, the user spreads Rot at a much faster rate using the shockwaves, causing widespread destruction.
