so this might sound crazy but yesterday changed everything for me

been dealing with constant exhaustion and brain fog since i was around 24. cant really pinpoint what started it but timing wise it matches up with when i got sick few years back and also had my shots around same time. not trying to start any debates about vaccines or anything just saying thats when timeline matches up

went to so many doctors over the years. they checked my iron levels and bunch of other stuff but kept saying they couldnt find anything wrong. was getting really frustrated because felt like nobody was taking me seriously

anyway yesterday i had appointment with new psychiatrist for completely different reason and during intake i mentioned how tired i always am. she actually listened and asked lot of detailed questions about what im experiencing day to day. was so nice to have someone actually care about what i was going through

she ended up prescribing me this medication called lisdexamfetamine. was bit nervous since its stronger than anything ive taken before but she seemed really confident it would help so decided to give it try

cannot believe the difference already. when i was driving to work today i realized i wasnt fighting to stay awake like usual. standing in elevator at work i didnt need to lean against wall to keep steady. doing paperwork my head didnt feel heavy like it weighs ton like it normally does

brain feels clear for first time in years. can read things without having to go over same sentence multiple times. feels like how i remember feeling before all this started

there are so many small things throughout day that feel normal again and i had forgotten what that was like. almost want to cry because really thought this was just my life now

i know its only been one day so trying not to get too excited but wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling like i was. if youve tried everything else might be worth talking to psychiatrist about it

this medication is usually for adhd but i dont have adhd at all. did fine in school and everything
